Star

Star

Three car and passenger ferries were delivered by the Finnish shipyard, now MEYER TURKU, in 2007, 2008 and 2009: Star, Baltic Princess and Baltic Queen were built for the Estonian shipping company Tallink.

Star was the first ferry, which was completed in 2007. Thanks to its 1A ice class rating, it can be used on routes with adverse ice conditions, and it’s one of the fastest passenger ferries in the world with a top speed of 27 knots. Ever since it was commissioned, Star has connected the Finnish capital, Helsinki, with its Estonian counterpart, Tallinn.
