Europa

MEYER TURKU was awarded a contract to build Europa in 1997, and it was delivered to Hapag-Lloyd Cruises on 9 September. The luxury liner has since been travelling the world with the Hamburg-based shipping company.

Europa has long been seen as one of the best cruise ships in the world. It’s one of only two luxury liners to have been rated “5-Star Plus” twelve times in a row by the “Berlitz Complete Guide to Cruising & Cruise Ships”. Europa has received this award 19 times throughout its history – and for good reason!

The seven-storey atrium is really worth seeing in the middle of the cruise ship, and the concert hall is another unique feature at the front of the vessel. Europa only has outside suites – 80% come with their own balcony and some even boast an illuminated jacuzzi with an ocean view.
The luxury liner also features a unique ocean spa and a 15-metre seawater pool, which can be converted into an indoor pool with a sliding glass roof. The pool can also be covered and used as a stage.

Passengers can enjoy exercise with an ocean view, as well as a golf simulator and library. And the Sansibar at the stern of Europa is one of the nicest places you’ll find on any cruise ship.
