Sustainability work at the Turku shipyard has a long-standing tradition and carries an ever-increasing importance. Meyer Turku is committed to working towards more sustainable shipbuilding.
We design and build cruise ships of the future with innovative technological solutions that drive the entire industry towards a more sustainable direction. At the same time, we continuously strive to improve the sustainability of our own operations.
We are not alone in our efforts. We are engaged in versatile cooperation with our customers, schools and our entire network. As shipbuilders, we know that the finest outcomes are achieved piece by piece, through the combined efforts of many experts.
Our sustainability strategy defines the direction of our sustainability efforts and supports our mission of designing and building cruise ships of the future. The cornerstones of our sustainability strategy are the three dimensions of sustainability: environment (E), social sustainability (S), and governance (G). Through these cornerstones, we maintain a comprehensive and tangible approach to our overall sustainability.
Our first GRI-aligned sustainability report summarised our actions and accomplishments from 2017. From 2025 onwards, our sustainability efforts are reported in conjunction with our annual report.
