Meyer Turku’s Shipbuilding School operates daily in close cooperation with all departments of the company and centrally organises training and courses for the personnel of Meyer Turku and its subsidiaries. Many of these training events are open to our network companies as well.
Cooperation with educational institutions in the region is an important part of the Shipbuilding School’s operations. Practical examples include extended on-the-job learning periods for upper secondary education students pursuing a basic degree, some of whom are offered a further study path according to the maritime industry apprenticeship model. The Shipbuilding School also offers workshop traineeships for university students and students of universities of applied sciences.
