The third new-build member of the NorthLink fleet built at Rauma shipyard was handed over on October 2002.
The 112-metre long ferry "Hamnavoe" - an old Norse name meaning home port or safe haven, sais on the route Scrabster/Stromness. The vessel has the capacity to carry 600 passengers plus cars and freight, and take account of the special demands of the North Sea and Pentland Firth weather conditions.
